Cousins

Had to post a few pics of the cousins that I took when we went out for my sister Jill's birthday. Sat on a great patio, enjoyed some wine..... and waited an eternity for our food! Luckily there were some waterfall's and bugs to keep the kiddo's entertained!

Rylee, Paige and Presley. What sweet girls. (at least that is what they would lead you to believe!) Until next time. xoxo

4th of July Fireworks

We were actually home for the 4th of July this year and headed out to a local park to watch the fireworks. This was the first time that Presley had the chance to enjoy the 4th of July festivities. We attended the 4th of July parade earlier in the day, and were not impressed, so were hoping for more of a show to renew our faith in our local planning associations.

A little sisterly love while we wait for the fireworks to start.

There was a live band so the girls were having a dance party on the lawn while we waited for it to get dark.

Presley wrestling with daddy.....I'm not sure who is winning?!

My little star spangled sweeties!

OOOOOhh.....the joy sparklers can bring! Even when they don't work very well! Until next time. XOXO

Water Play....at Eagle Island

We have had some hot weather around here, so headed to Eagle Island to cool off and play in the water. The girls built a great sand castle (with a little help from dad). Presley has decided that the sand isn't that bad after all.

Presley showing off their creation.

Paige trying to catch the little fish that are swimming around. Not sure what she expects to do with them if she catches any. But the chase was a hoot! (at least her parents thought so)

Stalking position

Presley sunning herself. It was nice to get out and relax away from home and the chores that await us there. Can't wait for out next adventure. Until next time. xoxo

Summer Time Cherries!

Geez! I haven't posted since father's day?! Shame on me. I must be enjoying the lazy days of summer -- more like crazy days of summer! But since summer time is here, that means cherries in our neck of the woods. Took a drive to Emmett, and did some cherry picking of our own. Amazing what you get done in a 20 minute "picking" session. Here are a few pictures showing off the goods!

We picked 26lbs of cherries. dried some, pitted some, and froze a lot!

Here is the beginnings of a full bucket of cherries for miss Paige.

Presley could even reach the branches that were loaded with cherries. Until Next time. xoxo

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Daddy was lucky enough to get some time to head over to Idaho Falls to golf with his dad for most of Father's Day weekend this year, but not before permanently marking his body with his daughters names. Here the girls are posing with their "arm". Nothing like celebrating Father's Day by scarring your body for ever and ever! The girls think it is pretty special, and mom doesn't think they look to bad either.

Presley has moved up to a big girl bed and is doing quite well with the transition. Here the girls enjoyed some cuddle and book time with their dad in Presley's new bed. We had homemade pizza for our delicious Father's Day dinner, and for dessert a donut from Paige's Daddy Donut Day, which Mike missed because of the golf tournament. Everyone snuck naps in today, and enjoyed family time. The perfect Father's Day (at least mommy thinks so when she gets a nap in too). xoxo

Finally - Paige's dream come true! Horse Lessons!!!

As has been her dream for at least a year and a half (which is eternity for a 6 year old) Paige finally started horse lessons! She has taken one English riding lesson, and one Western riding lesson. She enjoyed both immensely and will have a hard time deciding which path she will follow. She really likes the idea of learning to jump and the formality of English riding, and she really likes the fact that she gets to ride a big horse and hang with the "cowgirls" with the Western lessons. Personally I have my favorite as well but am letting her make the decision. Either one would make her beyond happy. Here are a few pictures from the Western lessons. Marcy is the instructor, Monty is the horse.
Monty and Paige worked on starting, stopping, and turns. Paige asked if she could run fast and do some jumps, but they didn't think she was ready for that. She did however talk them into letting her hang out and brush two additional horses along with Monty. Don't think they knew what hit them when the Bergmann girls walked into the barn!

Heading out after the lesson - Paige walked Monty out to pasture and asked all the names of the 20 additional horses that were out as well. Of course she is buying all the paint horses, and is naming them Abby! (it will be a different name tomorrow, so don't start engraving those riding trophies just yet!)

Until next time! xoxo

T-Ball Time!

Little Miss Paige is enjoying her first taste of T-Ball. Her team, the Astro's, started games last week. Of course in Idaho games can mean wind and rain, but we have been lucky so far. Here Paige is with her teammates for picture day. Note to self....stunt Paige's growth!
Here is our ball player getting ready for her first game.
Batting away! She does a great job....just needs to figure out what to do once the ball is hit! Is it to soon to count on that college scholarship?? Until next time - xoxo
